St Anne's Square, Belfast

Work started in August on a project for J Kennedy & Co at St Annes Square in Belfast where we are piling the foundations for a new city centre mixed use development comprising apartments, retail outlets, a hotel and parking facilities.
Around 850 CFA bearing piles of between 450mm and 600mm diameter are being installed up to a depth of 24.5m using our Soilmec CM48 and CM50 CFA rigs.
Each rig is installing between 250 and 300m of piles each day and pumping in the region of 100m3 of concrete per rig, equating to approximately 700m3 per week. The concrete for the project is being supplied by sister company Roadmix. Around eight static load tests will take place over the ten-week contract period.
